I took this picture at the cemetery while visiting the family grave. This bright orange/red orb shaped like a flower appeared in the photo but not to the naked eye. Where the orb appeared there was nothing on the ground. The nearby footstone was Anna Sewall who died in 1966, the year I was born. Interesting. Things that make you go 'hmmmm'.

Full Harvest Moon October 4, 2009 With Artificial Ionosphere Visible
One of my favorite classes at UMD was Astronomy. I have always been fascinated by the stars in the heavens above.
Visit NASA.GOV to see about the LCROSS project. They are going to blast through the moon's atmosphere on Friday, October 7, 2009, and lunar impact will take place at 7:30 a.m. EST Atlantic. They will record it as the missle separates from the recording module and impacts the moon.
The moon on Saturday, October 3, 2009
In Massachusetts, Saturday, October 3, 2009, right before midnight as the moon went full, I took some pictures of it. I noticed in the pictures an aura around the moon and a large dark patch in the aura.
